OFCCP: when it may apply
A specialized federal-contractor agency, not a general wage office.
What does it mean?
OFCCP is the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs. Its current work includes disability and protected-veteran obligations under Section 503 and VEVRAA for covered federal contractors and subcontractors.
What to pay attention to
Executive Order 11246 was revoked on January 21, 2025; OFCCP says its enforcement under that order has stopped. Section 503 and VEVRAA remain in effect, with activity resumed. Do not rely on older EO 11246 pay-transparency or contractor guidance as current OFCCP protection. Other employment laws may still apply.
Where to go next
- 1
Check OFCCP’s current homepage and jurisdiction guidance; contract coverage and thresholds matter.
- 2
Ask OFCCP about disability or protected-veteran complaint options and deadlines.
- 3
For other discrimination concerns, consult EEOC, the state civil rights agency or a qualified employment attorney.
